Xycle and Interfilter Group join forces for a circular recycling plant

Rotterdam, 07-11-2025

Xycle is building a new plant in which hard-to-recycle plastics are converted into valuable raw materials for the chemical industry. This not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also decreases dependency on fossil resources, perfectly aligning with the ambition to achieve a circular economy.

Interfilter Group is proud to contribute as a key partner in this project, supplying various process filters (gas filter

units, filter housings, strainers) as well as compressed air and nitrogen systems that are essential to the plant’s operation. This collaboration highlights our shared mission: developing innovative and sustainable solutions for a better future. After visiting the site, Xycle and Interfilter celebrated the partnership and symbolically kicked off this joint venture.

“For us, plastic waste is not a problem but an opportunity,” says Luuk Straatman of Xycle. “With this new plant, we are taking an important step toward a circular future. The filtration solutions and the nitrogen and compressed air systems provided by Interfilter Group and Avilo form the beating heart of our plant.”

Gilbert Barrios of Interfilter Group adds: “We’re proud to have been involved in this project from the very first contact in 2022, providing the complete filtration package.” Together, Xycle and Interfilter Group are committed to a future in which plastic waste is given a second life.
