Scope 3: emissions beyond our own organisation

When measuring our CO₂ emissions, we do not only consider what happens within our own operations. Scope 3 includes the emissions generated throughout our entire value chain, from the products we purchase to the waste we produce.

Scope 3 is often the largest and most complex category to assess, as it relies on data provided by suppliers and partners.

Since 2025, we have been actively working to gain insight into these emissions. Of the fifteen Scope 3 categories, we have now assessed seven based on the available data:

1️⃣ Purchased goods and services
2️⃣ Capital goods
3️⃣ Fuel and energy-related activities
5️⃣ Waste generated in operations
6️⃣ Business travel
7️⃣ Employee commuting
9️⃣ Downstream transportation and distribution

In the coming period, we will continue to assess the remaining relevant categories. This will provide an increasingly complete picture of our impact throughout the value chain.

Understanding emissions is the first and most important step towards reducing them and, ultimately, achieving net zero. We therefore assess our emissions annually, even when this is not legally required. This allows us to prepare for potential future requirements and take more targeted action to reduce emissions today. 🌱
