Interfilter Group celebrates 50 years of entrepreneurship and development 🎉

In 2026, Interfilter Group will celebrate its 50th anniversary. What started in 1976 with the founding of Interfilter by Jaap van Sliedregt, focusing on filtration within the HVAC market and gas turbines, has grown over five decades into a Group with multiple divisions and international ambitions. The anniversary marks a long journey of building, adapting, and looking ahead.

From family business to Group

The foundation for growth was laid early on. In the seventies and eighties, the first expansions took place, including the construction of the first building in Brielle and later the move to Hellevoetsluis. The focus was on strengthening knowledge, expanding the range, and creating a stable organization. With the establishment of Aircon and the expansion into industrial filtration in the nineties, the foundation was further broadened.

After the passing of Jaap van Sliedregt in 2000, the course was continued by the next generation. Interfilter continued to grow through targeted acquisitions and collaborations. The integration of Mocofil and IFB Filtertechniek marked an important step in bringing together specialized knowledge.

Investing in knowledge, innovation, and people

From 2009 onwards, further development focused on scale and professionalization, including the move to Vierpolders and the expansion of IFB Filtertechniek. In the following years, the focus increasingly shifted towards innovation and collaboration. The joint venture with Deltrian International led to the establishment of Deltrian Netherlands, followed by its own production line for air filters and a research space for filter testing.

The construction of the current building in Vierpolders in 2019 gave physical form to this development. A location that provides room for growth, knowledge sharing, and further professionalization.

Looking towards the future

In 2022, the founding of Interfilter Group took place, with four divisions: Automotive, Industries, HVAC, and Services. Since then, the Group has expanded further with, among others, Avilo Nitrogen and Air Systems, the distributorship of Parker, and the start of Interfilter Poland. Steps that align with a future-oriented vision and the ambition to support customers broadly and sustainably.

Fifty years of Interfilter thus represent more than just an anniversary. It is the result of consistent choices, collaboration, and continued investment in people and solutions that work in practice.
